M.C.Escher was known for his mind twisting and confusing artwork.
One of M.C.Escher's works was Reptiles. The picture was interesting because it was 3D, then went to 2D, then 3D.
The alligators seen to emerge from the flat, 2D picture and become 3D creatures, then merge witch the picture once again. There are many things in this image, like a lot of detail. The main things in this picture are the alligators that are circling the picture. The alligators were going in and out of the panting. The alligators are going up and down books and wood, walking on paper and down a bowl, around cigarettes and crawling on a cube and matches.
There is an old book in the corner, and a cactus in the bottom corner. There is also a cube, bottle, a glass, matches and cigarettes, rocks, paper and drawings just some detail.
Escher’s picture means to me death and rebirth. Alligators are going in and out of the picture. When they leave the picture, they are reborn. When they go into the picture, they are dying. Alligators are moving up and down things.
This design is confusing with a lot of detail. This picture means to me life and rebirth. This is a great piece of art because it is cool and it makes you think and is interesting.
