"Triumph of Death" - Pieter Brueghel

The painting Triumph of Death shows an army of skeletons attacking a town on their rampage through it. The Triumph of Death is a scene of horror, death and the end of the world at the hands of the dead who spare no one they go through the town. Death comes at the time it chooses and you can’t stop it so it, is best just to live out the rest of the time you have in peace and harmony. Pieter Bruegle's painting, the Triumph of Death makes you think of how fragile life is.

The Triumph of Death is a scene of the end of the world through Pieter Bruegle’s eyes. The king is dying and skeletons are killing all they see or herding them into a cart. Most of the building in the painting are on fire or in ruins as the skeletons spared despair and death. Another town is burning on the upper left hand side of the painting. On the upper right hand side, a man is being beheaded and another man is being hanged. On the lower left hand side the King is dying as skeletons steal gold and silver. On the right hand side a couple is just sitting and playing music to each other as skeletons attack and kill everyone else. Pieter Bruegle’s painting the Triumph of Death is the one of the strangest paintings that I have ever seen. The Triumph of Death gives the viewer a sense of mortality. The painting makes you see that just as quickly as we can build a society, it can be destroyed by our own greed.

The colors of the sky show that darkness seems to be spreading over the land. In the Upper left corner, the red sky represents fire and that Hell has decided to come to Earth. The fire creates a dark smoke, which spreads across the skyline. The painting gives the viewer a sense of tension, horror and chaos as the town is attacked. A sense of reality is falling a part and case is taking over. In the painting no one is safe.

The artist shows the vore that humans are farrago beings that can by betted else. Little bit of hope in the darkest of nights. That death is not the end of the road. The young couples show it is not always the best to fight against the inedible. The painting is showing that eventually we will find an enemy that can not be hurt by our weapons. As humans push our away thought please which we have no knowledge of these please were going to gent our self into trouble which we can not beat.

The Triumph of Death is showing that the world end at the hands of the die. So in the end no one can fight death so it is best to enjoy the time you have on this world. Plus death is not always the end. To me the Triumph of Death is a scary painting but it is interesting painting.
